Beyond the PondFilm

This is the story of two Canadian girls, whose journey across the globe to the Kingdom of Nepal becomes more than just another ‘been there, done that’ expedition.

While working in an overcrowded orphanage and teaching in a local rural school, these two volunteers witness firsthand the tragedies of a developing country. With a civil war looming from the shadows and while living as the Nepali do, they learn very quickly that not all is what it seems on the Roof of the World, that Nepal is nothing like the press would have you believe and that their lives will never be the same again.
